MAIN LEVEL: Great room with cathedral ceiling, fieldstone fireplace (decorative only), french doors to waterfront deck with breathtaking view. Fully appointed kitchen with stainless steel appliances including large fridge, double oven, dishwasher, microwave. Generous island with bar sink and seating where guests can enjoy a drink or apps. Comfortable sectional and swivel seating, and dining for up to six. On the deck, there's a high-top for four, sectional seating, and a Weber Genesis 3-burner grill.
Primary bedroom has queen bed with luxury mattress, ceiling fan, en suite bath with tiled walk-in shower, and rainfall showerhead. Bedroom has workstation with standing desk, large monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse.
UPSTAIRS LEVEL: Flexible large space with two ceiling fans. Comfortable queen bed, plus three twins, all with LLBean bedding and separation screen for privacy. This floor has its own full bath with walk-in tiled shower and rainfall showerhead, porthole in shower for lake view. The lake from the landing is spectacular!
LAKESIDE LEVEL: Lower level with full size windows and double doors that open to the lake shore. Sectional seating, movie viewing on Smart TV, or ditch the technology and gather at the round table for games or puzzles.

Welcome to "Down the Lake" @ Heron's Cove! Hummingbirds to alight while you drink morning coffee on the sun drenched deck. Swim from the dock, or kayak out to the islands and look for blueberries. Relax, sunbathe, or hike Lantern Hill Trail right from the house. Take a short drive to Jonathan Edwards Winery or the local Shunock River
Welcome to "Down the Lake" @ Heron's Cove! Hummingbirds to alight while you drink morning coffee on the sun drenched deck. Swim from the dock, or kayak out to the islands and look for blueberries. Relax, sunbathe, or hike Lantern Hill Trail right from the house. Take a short drive to Jonathan Edwards Winery or the local Shunock River Brewery (amazing pizza!). Spend the day at Mystic Aquarium or Seaport, or visit Old Mystic or Stonington for shops and ice cream. Foxwoods Casino, with concerts and restaurants and outlet shopping is 10 minutes away, and Mohegan Sun is a pleasant 20 minute drive. Prepare dinner in the chef's kitchen, or enjoy fresh seafood by the ocean in Old Mystic or Stonington, both classic New England seaside towns. After dinner, call up a movie, play board games, or create a puzzle. Watch the moon rise across the lake, kindle a fire in the lakeside firepit, and make s'mores or popcorn in the evening air. Drop off to sleep on our luxury mattresses, listening to the bullfrogs and the lapping of the lake.

Your party has the entire house, including private lakefront, dock, firepit, and all amenities. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out is by 10 am; From May to mid-September, we rent Saturday to Saturday with a 7 night minimum. Off-season has flexible check-in days with a two night minimum.
Our rate is $450 per night, $3150 per week, plus

Our rate is $450 per night, $3150 per week, plus 15% state rental tax for up to six people, including children. We charge $150 for cleaning fee. Welcome
We are third generation on the lake, and we loved our grandfather's handmade cottage for almost 100 years. It's been a labor of love to build this new place, and we can't wait to share it with you. Once you experience Down the Lake @ Heron's Cove, you will return again and again for life!
